Blanche de Namur

Blanche de Namur was the daughter of Count Jean de Namur. It is said that Magnus IV Eriksson, King of Sweden and Norway, was seduced by the beauty of the princess, while heading to France in search of a prestigious wife. The princess embarked for Scandinavia in August 1335 and never saw the banks of the Meuse to become Queen of Norway , Sweden and Skåne.
In memory of her beauty, her gentleness and delicacy, the Brasserie Bocq dedicated her a white beer: " Blanche de Namur"

Cloudy, smooth and mellow, the Blanche de Namur is a wheat beer of the highest quality. From the first sip, you feel all the roundness and delicacy that make it an exceptional beer. Its qualities and the "know-how" of the brewery, earned this beer the distinction of the best white beer in the world in 2009, 2013 and 2014.
A true model of its kind, both floral and fruity, with subtle hints of coriander and orange peel. The nose is fresh, rather delicate. Serve cool, not cold, to enjoy the flavor and accentuate the elegant bitterness that wraps around the mouth throughout the tasting.

De color amarillo pajizo, presenta una espuma densa, fina y blanca mate que forma copete redondeado y que deja buenas marcas en el vaso. El aroma es muy afrutado con recuerdos de cítricos, especias y alguna nota láctica. Al beberla es cítrica, ligeramente ácida, con notas profundas, perceptibles muy en el fondo, de amargor y sabores de especias

Al 5 generaties lang wordt door de familie Vanneste witbier gebrouwen in Brugge.

Begin 2019 heeft brouwer Xavier Vanneste met Alken-Maes (Heineken) een akkoord gesloten, waardoor de familiale brouwerij “De Halve Maan” de productie en commercialisatie van het legendarische “Brugs Tarwebier” terug naar Brugge brengt.

De originele bezieler van het Brugs Tarwebier, Paul Vanneste, is maar wat fier om de originele receptuur en giststam van het bier opnieuw ter beschikking te stellen.

Het bier wordt opnieuw onder de originele naam “Brugs Tarwebier” verkocht, met het typische logo met “Gouden Boom” terug prominent op het etiket, zodat de Bruggelingen hun originele witbier van weleer terug kunnen herkennen.
Ook het wapenschild van de brouwersfamilie “Vanneste” prijkt op het vernieuwde etiket, verwijzend naar 5 generaties brouwerstraditie…

Blanche de Brujas es una cerveza blanca tradicional, creada en los años 80, en el momento en que las cervezas blancas tenían un éxito creciente. Tiene un color amarillo claro y contiene 4,8% de alcohol. El sabor está bien equilibrado, dulce-ácido, fresco y afrutado.

Como no se filtra, es naturalmente turbia y tiene componentes gustativos muy específicos. Esta cerveza blanca se elabora con trigo puro.

El sabor específico del trigo en combinación con aroma a lúpulo, cáscara de naranja y cilantro, le da su carácter rico y refrescante.
