Mikkeller / Three Floyds Blå Spøgelse Blueberry Bluebic

The last collaboration between Mikkeller and Three Floyds is a sour ale with blueberries, aged in oak barrels. Pour is crazy purple with a neon dark purple head that eventually creates a pink ring of foam. Awesome looking.

Aroma is lightly tart, blueberry and a bit funky lambic. Initial taste is moderately sour and some fruitiness with slight tones of blueberry flavor.

Taste is fruity with a lambic style sourness, blueberries, oak, barnyard funk, lemon and blackberry. Fruity dry finish and some lingering acidity. Delicious and complex, very well balanced sour ale.
