Beavertown Lupuloid IPA

Introducing the newest addition to our meticulous lineup of core range offerings, LUPULOID IPA, a 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale. The most notable thing is that it is our first straight up IPA, no funny business, just malt, yeast, water and hops. Lots of hops. I guess it only took us four years!

First came the collaborations. We learned so much valuable information, and are eternally grateful to everybody who came to visit / opened their doors to us. These helped create fantastic brews in order to solidify in our minds exactly WHAT we wanted our IPA to be.

Then we turned it over to you, and introduced “The Invasion Of The Lupuloids,” as a series of waves of beers accompanied by a list of every technical detail you could want and more – by way of something similar to Top Trumps cards – every thing from yeast strains, through original / final gravity, to total hop oils per 100g listed. We felt this gave people ample info to make an informed decision, and then we listened. As feedback came in we tweaked recipes and plotted new brews, releasing another wave with the same info available, and then repeated the process. The end result was 10 IPAs, that were tweaked and adapted with the feedback we received until we were able to bring you the LUPULOID.

And now we can finally release it unto the world! Complete with an accompanying animation, tirelessly illustrated by (the amazing and ever humble) Nick Dwyer, with animation help from our buddies Studio Yuzu, and sound tracked by The BcBs, voiced by OUR ONE AND ONLY Logan Plant (before he cut his hair and had a shave!)

Style

Tripel Karmeliet

Tripel Karmeliet is a classic golden Belgian Tripel with a distinct character from the use of three grains.

Appearance: Rich and refined deep Golden colour with a creamy white foam

Aroma: Very refined & complex; with hints of vanilla mixed with herbs and citrus

Flavour: A medium-bodied beer that is delicately warming. There is a freshness from the wheat and a creamy mouthfeel from the oats. Rich notes and soft sweetness of lemon cake join with hints of coriander seed and hay and a quinine-like dryness on the finish.

Zien: Tripel Karmeliet is een zeer verfijnd en complex goud- tot bronskleurig bier met een geweldige, stevige, romige kraag.

Ruiken: Zeer verfijnde en complexe neus. Tripel Karmeliet heeft deze kenmerken niet alleen te danken aan de gebruikte granen, maar ook aan het gebruik van aromahop en het fruitig karakter van de huisgist.
We vinden toetsen van banaan en vanille vermengd met citrusachtige aroma’s.

Proeven: Tripel Karmeliet bezit niet alleen de lichtheid en frisheid van de tarwe, maar ook de romigheid van haver, en het heeft ook een kruidige, citroenachtige droogheid die bijna aan kinine doet denken.

Admirez: La Tripel Karmeliet est une bière très raffinée, dont la robe aux nuances complexes passe du doré au bronze pale et qui offre un magnifique col de mousse crémeux. Ces caractéristiques ne dérivent non seulement de céréales utilisées, mais également d’un houblonnage prudent avec du Styrian, à sa saveur épicée et au caractère fruité (banane et vanille) de la levure maison.

Humez: Très raffinée et complexe. Des touches de vanille mélangées à des arômes d’agrumes.

Dégustez: La Tripel Karmeliet n’offre pas seulement la légèreté et la fraîcheur du froment, mais également l’onctuosité de l’avoine. Elle présente aussi une sécheresse épicée, citronnée, presque de quinine.

Karmeliet Tripel es una cerveza de color bronce dorado muy refinada y compleja, con una fantástica espuma cremosa.

Estas características se derivan no sólo de los granos utilizados, sino también de los lúpulos seleccionados Styrians y el carácter afrutado (plátano y vainilla) de la levadura casera.

Aroma muy refinado y complejo, con toques de vainilla mezclado con aromas cítricos, manzana Golden, plátano, vainilla y naranja.

Tripel Karmeliet tiene no sólo la ligereza y frescura de trigo, sino también la cremosidad de la avena junto con el cítrico limón y sequedad casi de la quinina.

Su sabor fino y seco acaba en un toque de fruta madura y confitada. La Tripel Karmeliet es una cerveza de degustación y acompaña bien a crustáceos, bogavante, conejo a la brasa y quesos cremosos.
