Voll-Damm

Damm elaboró su primera Märzenbier en 1953. Los primeros años sólo se producía del mes de octubre a abril, mientras que el resto del año se dejaba de fabricar. Fue en 1955, debido al gran éxito obtenido, que se decidió fabricar de manera ininterrumpida. Se la bautizó con el nombre de Voll-Damm. “Voll” en alemán significa lleno, completo. El nombre le iba muy bien a una cerveza de sabor fuerte, intenso y con mucho cuerpo.

Se produce con ingredientes 100% naturales, con cebada sólo de variedades puras y malteada en nuestra propia maltería. La doble cantidad de malta, le confiere más aroma, más sabor y más cuerpo.
La Voll-Damm recibe unos primeros lúpulos amargos en el brasaje, y más tarde justo antes de que comience el proceso de la fermentación se le añade un nuevo lúpulo proveniente de la muy reconocida y prestigiosa región Bávara de Hallertau.

La doble cantidad de malta en la receta hace que sea un producto con mucha fuerza. Con el doble de sabor. El doble de cuerpo. Es algo que se nota en el primer sorbo.

We stood there for a while watching as the house burned. As the roof collapsed. As the rear wall with the back deck still connected surged forward under the weight of the flames, momentarily smothering the flare below it only to explode brightly with a rush of cinders and a wall of fresh heat thrust in our direction. What artifacts had just burst into the night air? A wedding dress? An old box of photographs? It was all gone or going now. The blaze was making something new at the same time. Something more primal and less evolved. By morning the weighty things of the past would be reduced to a vapor, heart, light, and cinders - receptive to the slightest wishful breeze. There is freedom in burning down the house of fixed realities and it confers an undeniable lightness to being. We didn’t invent these truths; they invented us.
