Imperial Oatmeal Milk Stout Aged in Rye Barrels

Ahh, what better smell is there than chupacabras, defeated, burning in a field of rye? Ummm perhaps the complex aromatics of Crasher in the Rye? For 2017, we brewed the base beer, Undead Party Crasher, and replaced the smoked malt with rye malt to complement the roasted chocolate core of the brew. Then we aged the beer in 100% rye barrels to create a new version of Crasher in the Rye.

This label, which depicts Josh Baggett shredding a guitar in outer space as he pedals a pink training wheel bicycle while baby unicorns are born in his wake and the monkey on his back juggles guavas and his crown fairly represents Josh’s rigorous path promoting craft beer to Texas. Josh, we love you man! Brewed with fresh guava puree, dry hopped mosaic.
