Wat in al die tijd ook bleef groeien, was unieke kennis - niet alleen over lambiek brouwen en geuze steken, maar ook over de selectie van de juiste grondstoffen én over unieke mouten, speciaal gemaakt voor de bieren van Boon. Bovendien groeide ook de technische kennis over de brouwinstallaties en het eigen onderhoud van machines en eikenhouten vaten. Die kennis werd de afgelopen jaren doorgegeven aan de volgende generatie: met Jos Boon en Karel Boon is de succesvolle opvolging een feit. Beide zonen groeiden op in de schaduw van de brouwerij en erfden zo meteen ook Franks passie voor de traditionele bierstijlen uit de streek.
Vandaag kijken we bij Brouwerij Boon met vertrouwen vooruit. Frank is sinds 2020 met pensioen, maar houdt nog steeds een oogje in het zeil. Jos en Karel zorgen met familiale toewijding voor continuïteit en verdere groei. De waardevolle technieken uit het verleden worden toegepast, maar met het oog op de toekomst worden de activiteiten in onze brouwerij meteen ook als wetenschap aangepakt.
