3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek is the slow and all-natural maceration of whole sour cherries on traditional lambic. No addition of juices, syrups or artificial sweeteners. Unfiltered. Unpasteurised.

For this Oude Kriek, sour cherries were macerated for almost nine months on stainless steel. While macerating and blending, 3F used lambics originating from four different barrels and six different brews.

The final fruit intensity amounts up to 334 grams of fruit per litre of Kriek. This bottle was left to age for another 15 months in the cellar prior to release. 100% 3 Fonteinen.

Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen, antigua cervecería belga, ubicada en la región flamenca, se dedica a la elaboración de cervezas del tipo Lambic. 3 Fonteinen Intens Rood Oude Kriek 2018, es posiblemente unos de sus productos estrella. De estilo Lambic y de fermentación espontánea 100%, continuando su proceso de fermentación en la botella. De color rojo brillante, tiene un ABV del 5,0 %, sin filtrar y sin pasteurizar. Macerada con cerezas agrias enteras recogidas a mano, a razón de 1 kg. de fruta por litro de cerveza. En nariz tiene un aroma que pone de relieve las cerezas maduras. También se nota la madera y un toque avainillado. En boca es seca y ácida, con toques de madera y vainilla que llevan a un final seco, dejando una sensación de cerveza bien afinada y muy deliciosa.

This particular Oude Kriek has been macerated on its fruit for 6 months and 15 days. The final fruit intensity is 350 grams of cherries per liter of finished Kriek. The lambics in this blend come from 3 different barrels and 3 different brews.

for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic. The kriek lambic is then blended again with more young lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit, and is bottled immediately afterwards. These bottles are then stored in our cellars for at least five months so that the kriek lambic can develop into a beautiful, traditional, and refined Oude Kriek. With a pleasant tartness and organic notes of almond and cinnamon as it warms in the glass, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek, will age perfectly but may lose some of the vibrant red colours and forest fruit aromas. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley!
