Wasted Degrees say “Spruce tips are an ancient brewing ingredient, usurped by imported hops these days.
Brewed in collaboration with Atholl Estates, whose forests barely a mile from the brewery provided the spruce tip harvest. The harvest was supervised by their forestry and ranger teams to ensure sustainability and plant health, as we want this to be a replicable project year-on-year.”

Crafted in collaboration with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, whose casks from distilleries 5, 9 & 108 barrel aged this beer for 4 months. Spruce tips are an ancient brewing ingredient. Sustainably hand picked in May 2022 from trees growing on Atholl Estate. This recipe was inspired by a visit to the Blair Castle archive. Expect flavours of coconut, oak, toasted marshmallow, raspberry and heather honey.
