The first American craft brewer to independently build, own and operate their own brewery in Europe.
Founded by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner in 1996, San Diego-based Stone Brewing is the 10th largest craft brewer in the United States. Stone has been listed on the Inc. 500 | 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list 11 times, and has been called the “All-time Top Brewery on Planet Earth” by BeerAdvocate magazine twice. After looking at more than 130 sites in nine different countries, Stone found the perfect site for Stone’s European expansion on a historic gasworks park in Berlin, Germany. Our new state-of-the-art brewery began operations in November 2015. Since then, we’ve expanded distribution to over 30 countries with the aim to deliver super-fresh, bold, big-character and unique beers to our European fans. The doors to the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Berlin opened in September 2016, offering a creative menu of world-inspired, sustainably sourced cuisine, and of course, the finest craft and artisanal beers.
