Wilding Cider Commix 2022

Description Commix is a classic blended cider for drinking with food. This vintage is a blend of various bitter sweets & bittersharp apples: Yarlington Mill, Dove, Brown’s, Bisquet, Chisel Jersey, Sweet Coppin & Ellis Bitter.

Compared to previous years this blend is a bit different, slightly more residual sugar, bit more tannin and more aroma. Where the 2021 vintage was quite lean and with real tannic structure, the 2022 is lusher and bolder. This is well balanced, easy – drinking cider with fresh fruit on the nose, palate cleansing acidity and good tannic backbone, balanced with a little residual sugar.

Intentionally really great with food, Sam loves it with steak and chips but also great with cheese, grilled fish and bolder summer vegetables, pork chops. Fermented with wild yeasts, with no sulphites, & no filtering or pasteurisation. Still medium dry cider. 750ml. 6.1%.

The 2022 vintage is especially expressive and luscious with a bit more sweetness and tannin than usual. As usual it is built around Yarlington Mill, Dove, and Browns, this vintage also has Bisquet, Chisel Jersey, Sweet Coppin and Ellis Bitter in support. Excellent with lots of different foods, especially steak and chips, mature cheddar, grilled pork chops.
