A hop that we feel gets a little lost in the modern brewing circles is definitely Amarillo. One of the flagbearers of the IBU races of the mid 00s, we absolutely dig the way it leads with sticky marmalade notes as its prominent flavour profile, before more subtle notes of melon, apricot and peach join the party to boot. Wanting to give this hop a little more credence as one that definitely belongs amongst the sexier new school juice hops, we’ve paired it up with modern day darling Strata in Lost Arts – a pale ale absolutely jammed to the max with those fruit-forward flavours that make a Polly’s pale, a Polly’s pale. Those aforementioned marmalade notes are working in abundance on this beer, backed up with those uniquely Strata flavours of intense passionfruit sweetness and dank, thick marijuana smoke.

Das POLLY’S Lost Arts ist ein Pale Ale. Ein Hopfen, der unserer Meinung nach in den modernen Braukreisen ein wenig untergeht, ist definitiv Amarillo. Er ist einer der Vorreiter des IBU-Rennens Mitte der 00er Jahre und wir lieben die Art und Weise, wie er mit klebrigen Marmeladennoten als herausragendes Geschmacksprofil auftritt, bevor sich subtilere Noten von Melone, Aprikose und Pfirsich der Party anschließen. Um diesem Hopfen ein wenig mehr Glaubwürdigkeit zu verleihen, haben wir ihn mit dem modernen Liebling Strata in Lost Arts gepaart – ein Pale Ale, das vollgestopft ist mit den fruchtigen Aromen, die ein Polly’s Pale zu einem Polly’s Pale machen. Die bereits erwähnten Marmeladennoten kommen in diesem Bier in Hülle und Fülle vor, unterstützt von den einzigartigen Strata-Aromen intensiver Passionsfrucht-Süße und feuchtem, dickem Marihuana-Rauch.

Très connu dans les années 2000 lorsque les brasseries se lançaient à corps perdu dans la course à l’amertume, le houblon Amarillo fait office de papy dans la craft contemporaine. C’est pourtant sur cette base qu’à été imaginée cette Pale Ale. L’Amarillo dévoile ses parfums de marmelade, melon, abricot et pêche. Le tout est accompagné du Strata, un houblon au profil atypique (marijuana et fruit de la passion notamment).
