The beers that we produce regularly toe the line between beer & cider, predominantly due to the fact that we ferment them with a mixed culture of yeast & bacteria sourced from local cider/apples. We love this hybrid taste, and decided to accentuate it further with the addition of 10kg of local crab apples, which grow in abundance here. The base sour was brewed back in early 2020 so had time to develop in barrel before the addition of the apples a few months before bottling. The result is a crisp, fresh and zingy beer with sharp apple flavour & a sweet balanced finish.
