We’ve doubled the amount of pineapple weed normally used in this beer and also lowered the carbonation level to make it less lively in the glass. The result is a delicately aromatic, refreshing beer.

Futtle say “This beer, or a variation of it, is something we have made more than any other since we started brewing. Partly because the batches go out so quickly, but also because this is a style of beer we love drinking ourselves.
“Organic whole grains and whole leaf hops as always. But this time we have upped the percentage of oats to give the beer even more body. The pineapple weed was added twice: firstly after the boil with the third addition of organic hops and then again in a shrub just before canning. A fresh, light, effervescent, everyday kind of beer. Organic, unfiltered, unpasteurised and conditioned for two months before release.
“Pineapple weed is a relation of chamomile, but has a far fresher, juicier aroma, which is very similar to real pineapple when you press the buds between your fingertips. The plants appear in scrubland, at the side of paths, driveways and pavements, thriving in the poorest conditions and most unlikely spots. The word ‘weed’ suggests something unwanted and unloved – perhaps it was named by gardeners who like everything a bit neater than we do? But this summer herb is one that we love above all others. Its modest appearance belying its underlying flamboyance.”
