at Slaughterbrew approached us with a concept for a massive stout that we’ve never brewed before! Introducing A BLACK SWAN KEEPS HAUNTING ME – complex and truly twisted libation featuring two types of rye malt and a generous amount of dark wheat and flaked oats for an intense bouquet of spice and a massive, silky mouthfeel! To really capitalize on the spice flavors, we added Magnum, Chinook, and Saaz hops to the boil, and to bring everything together, we conditioned the beer on a lovely bed of cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans.

Black as a churchyard shadow, this imposing imperial stout creeps after your palate with deep notes of rye spice, candied dates, dark chocolate, and black coffee, falling from grace to finish with a fiery note of booze – as if opening the gates of Hades straight into your throat!
