Snorkeler’s Sea Salt is a non-alcoholic IPA brewed with Baltic Sea salt.

In the glass the IPA presents a beautiful amber tone with a white foam crown, the aroma of citrus and a freshsea breeze fill the nose. The soft, fresh fruity aftertaste with a slight bitterness makes the mouth water. The saltnote becomes evident at the end of the first sip and this salt tang builds with every subsequent sip. The uniqueness of these beers is achievedby Insel’s new brewing method. Markus Berberich (Brewery Founder) and Frank Lucas (Brewmaster) have,after a year of intensive development, managed to create an incredible taste through a sophisticated interactionof all the beers separate components. Brewing is done exclusively with natural hops.

The whole umbels use dunfold in the brewing kettle all their finest fragrance and the best bitterness.At below 35° C, the new fresh distillation is a very gentle process to preserve the typical taste of the beer. Significant fragrances and flavour profiles are protected and the result is a non-alcoholic craft beer with a natural mouth feel on par with the alcoholic versions and a truly stunning taste. The beers own carbon dioxide is collected during the fermentation process and later returned to the non-alcoholic beer, this means that thenatural flavour and the character typical of the beer style are genuine facsimiles.

After bottling, the non-alcoholic beers are aged using the traditional conditioning method. This bottle maturation with all its peculiarities and expense guarantees the bottles are oxygen-free and the natural paper wrapper as light protection, ensures a particularly long freshness of up to 24 months.

Marcus founded the Insel Brauerei together with Andries and Frans de Groen in 2014 and opened in 2015. We are experienced, beer-loving master brewers and brewery people who, of course, met each other while drinking beer. I asked Andries and Frans if they would like to start a new brewery with me. The answer was Yes and we just got going. It has changed my whole life, fortunately for the better!

Our idea was to brew rare beers. These are little known, forgotten or self created or interpreted beer styles. The island of Rügen has been my adopted home for over 20 years. Inspired by the nature of the island, we created a unique brewing method in Germany based on bottle conditioning and, in line with this, built a completely new, incomparable brewery in Rambin and opened a warehouse in Bergen.

Our beers create curiosity and invite to explore: Through the unusual bottles wrapped in natural paper with the beautiful, creative island motifs; through the new drinking ritual with the special glasses and above all, through their truly unique taste.

Good, solid craftsmanship is important to us. We are brewers, master brewers and beer sommeliers. Our work fills us with joy and connects us as friends. We try to live good human relations with employees, customers, suppliers and service providers filled with positive energy every day. We try to free ourselves from negative energy as quickly as possible.

We have our own brewing philosophy and our own rules. Everything we do serves one goal: to brew the best beer. We subordinate everything to this goal.

We are really pleased to have found so many open-minded, curious people as customers. They enjoy being in the moment, in the wild, unspoilt nature of the island and celebrating the indulgence with our rare beers.

De Insel-Brauerei Snorkelers Sea Salt IPA is fijnschuimig, bitter met een fruitig aroma. De zeezout, geeft het een onderscheidend karakter.

La cerveza sin alcohol IPA “Snorkelers Sea Salt IPA” de la cervecera Insel impresiona con su espuma llena y su aroma aromático. El aroma de los cítricos y la brisa fresca del mar inundan tu nariz al abrirla. Una ligera nota de heno, bayas y una pizca de sal se mezclan en la lengua. El centro de esta cerveza IPA sin alcohol es suave, pero vivaz. Al final, las notas de lúpulo cobran protagonismo y, junto con la sal marina y las esencias cítricas, forman un final redondo de bergamota.
