About The Beer Each year we bring in the official German Oktoberfest beers, but we thought it’s about time we also celebrated the incredible examples being brewed locally. Craft breweries have been giving the Germans a serious run for their money
recent years when it comes to these traditional styles. Technically daunting, time consuming and very expensive to make, it takes serious devotion to brew these beers. This pack features our favourite Australian breweries for German styles. We adore them, so get on it before we drink it all ourselves. Prost!
The line-up:
1. Mountain Culture Die Bier, Die Festbier 500ml Can
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Oktoberfest season! To celebrate, we have brewed this Bavarian-style Festbier using German grain to provide a smooth yet complex malt profile that glows the colour of falling Autumn leaves. With the added benefit of being lagered in tank for seven weeks, the beer finishes exquisitely clean and crisp and has been described as the love child of a Munich Helles and an Oktoberfest Marzen. So grab your stein, pull on your lederhosen, crank up the accordion and join us in song - hier ist DJ er ist wirklich blau... ABV 6%
2. White Bay Festbier Lager 440ml Can
A smooth pale German lager, moderate malt flavour and light hop character. Deftly balancing strength and drinkability with a finish that encourages the palate to take another sip. Exclusively made with German malt and hops to showcase their elegant flavours without becoming too filling or heavy. Underwent a three step mash and cold conditioned for many moons to ensure the best result for our Oktoberfest punters. Unfiltered and naturally carbed. ABV 5.7% 3. Sunday Road Oktoberfest German Pilsner 440ml Can
Brewed with pale pilsner malt for light body and hopped with traditional German hops. ABV 5%
4. Hawkers Basement Party Kellerbier 440ml Can
Kellerbier is a style that goes way back, originating in Franconia (south-central Germany) where the beer was brewed, casked, then stored to ferment and develop in caves (cellars) which had reliably stable temperatures. It’s a sessionable lager with a lean body, gentle hop presence, and keen disposition for good times. There’s a party in the basement, and you’re invited! ABV 4.5%
5. Slow Lane Here and Now Festbier Pale Lager 375ml Can
A pale lager with pleasant floral and spicy hop character. Made in the style of the modern festival beers brewed by Munich breweries for Oktoberfest. Here and Now showcases the flavourful German Pilsner and Vienna malts whilst being drinkable enough to down by the stein full. ABV 6%
6. Range Festbier 440ml Can
To celebrate Oktoberfest, our brewer Adrien went all out with his take on a German Festbier! This pale lager, brewed in the classic Munich style, showcases an all-German malt bill of pilsner and Munich malts, offering a crisp, refreshing, and bready-sweet malt backbone. On the palate, theres a perfect balance between subtle malt complexities and a mild bitterness that keeps you reaching for another stein. Its pale yellow colour pours crystal clear with a strong white foam, making it highly steinable (yes, that’s a word now). We know you’ll love it. Prost!
