Dal colore dorato con schiuma bianca i sentori si aprono pungenti e vivaci, con i evidenza le classiche note funk, sentori di frutta secca, pelle bagnata, legno di quercia e note agrumate e citriche. Dal corpo medio e media frizzantezza, al palato i sentori richiamano l'aroma con note di tannini, legno e vino in evidenza. Piacevolmente acida.

Beschrijving

De Barrel Selection Foeder 21 is een blend bestaande uit lambiek uit drie verschillende foeders van elk 4000 liter. Deze eikenhouten vaten werden oorspronkelijk gebruikt om zoete witte wijn te laten rijpen. Foeder 21 werd gevuld op 25 oktober 2018. De lambiek in dit grote vat was bijgevolg vier jaar oud op het moment dat Gert de blend maakte. Gedurende deze verlengde rijping doorliep de lambiek van Foeder 21 een maderisatie-proces.De andere twee foeders bevatten drie en 2,5 jaar oude lambiek. Hierdoor heeft de Barrel Selection Foeder 21 een gemiddelde leeftijd van maar liefst meer dan 37 maanden! Het is een prachtig complexe Oude Geuze geworden, die de kenmerken van de foeders zowel qua aroma als smaak goed tot hun recht laat komen.
