Oppigårds Bryggeri

The Oppigårds farm has been in our family’s possession since the 1700’s. The idea of brewing beer began to sprout in the 1980’s. We built the brewery on the farm, in a pasture. Now we have been running for 11 years! The first year we brewed 8,000 liters of beer and sold it locally. Now we’re up to over one million liters, filled in bottles and kegs and sold all over Sweden. In the 1980’s light lager with very little hops was about the only kind of beer to be found in Sweden. There were fewer than ten breweries, today there are over 100. Swedish beer culture is thriving.
