commercials and slogans, you could’ve fooled us. The beer world is full of cliché macho men, sport watchers and suave wood choppers, but who even are these people? When we started making beer, we decided to give the beer world a koekje van eigen deeg. With our Mannenliefde we confirm what everyone already knew. We like beer and we like you.

We have love for each other, love for brewing and a serious love of sharing our beer with everyone. Mannenliefde is a brew to free beer from predominant ideas about beer as a masculine drink, it’s about openness and vulnerability and diversity. And we’re the odd ones? That’s just silly. We’re pretty sure that we all have taste buds, and beer really doesn’t care if you’re a man, a woman, or a magical unicorn. (Total plus if you are 🦄)

Mannenliefde was our very first brew. It’s a 6% ABV Saison – which, at the time, was not a very common style, but even then retained its own unique character. It is middling in that is not extremely bitter and absolutely not sweet. Fresh with a dry and smooth aftertaste, lemongrass adds freshness, Szechuan pepper bestows a bit of bite and the use of Sorachi ace hops contributes fruity aromas.

Beer is for everyone, and this one is made with love and lemongrass. Open up! Less
