Cerveza muy, muy compleja. Negra, opaca. Elaborada con una mezcla de siete maltas diferentes (Ale, Crystal, Chocolate, Black, Oat, Brown , Smoked) complementadas con siete adiciones de lúpulo por separado durante 24 horas. Un día entero de elaboración, del que resulta una inmensa concentración de sabores a malta. La cerveza resultante ha madurado en barricas de bourbon y jerez recién vaciadas de la destilería de whisky Dingle. El resultado es una Imperial Stout oscura, rica, suave y diferente a cualquier otra cosa.

 

Maridaje:  carnes de cerdo y cordero. Y con postres elaborados a base de chocolate, y los dulces navideños.

The follow-on release of Around the Clock Imperial Stout has been aged for 250 days and is a further refinement of our boundary pushing barrel aged beers. An enhanced mash bill of 7 different malts compliment their seven separate hop additions during brewing. The flavours from this beer are combined with their 24-hour brew boil creating an even fuller, smoother stout. The resulting beer has matured in freshly emptied bourbon casks from the Dingle Distillery for 250 days. The outcome is an even more bold, rich dark Imperial Stout.

Desde la llamada isla esmeralda, la siempre verde Irlanda, Porterhouse Brew Co. nos hace llegar esta magnífica cerveza, la Around The Clock Barrel Aged, que como puede deducirse por su nombre, es una Imperial Stout envejecida en barriles que han contenido buenos whiskeys irlandeses en la Destillery Dingle, con la que Porterhouse Brew Co. colabora. Se trata de una cerveza muy compleja en su receta y creación y esa misma complejidad se traslada hasta nosotros en la botella. Siete maltas diferentes y sus correspondientes siete adiciones de lúpulo separadas se cocinan durante las 24 horas ininterrumpidas que dura el proceso. Una vez terminado el cocinado y el consiguiente proceso de fermentación la cerveza resultante se pone a madurar en barricas recientemente vaciadas del whiskey irlandés que contenían y que la destilería pone a disposición de la cervecera. Transcurrido el periodo de envejecimiento, el resultado es un rico Smooth Dark Imperial Stout, diferente a cualquier otra cerveza. El primer lote de Around the Clock, lanzado en noviembre de 2020, ganó el premio a la cerveza del año Independent Craft Brewers of Ireland (ICBI) y la cerveza Beoir del año. Tanto Around the Clock como Around the Clock 2 se agotaron rápidamente y se espera que al lanzamiento limitado de esta tercera edición le ocurra lo mismo.
