Soul Mega means “the embodiment of greatness.” It represents our vision for the brand and serves as a reminder to the limitless potential of the human spirit. Our mission is to be recognized within the mainstream craft-beer industry for our stylistically un-styled craft-beer offerings and ability to create a culture embracing creativity and inclusion, while fostering a spirit of community enterprise and social responsibility.
After years of practice with various brewing techniques and equipment, Elliott and Jahi developed a love for beer and the unlimited opportunities that come from water, malt, hops, and yeast. We spread our passion for homebrewing with anyone who would listen (and drink) & slowly grew from sharing bottles with friends, families, and coworkers to hosting homebrew pop-up events in 2017.
These grassroots experiences became opportunities to not only gauge early consumer feedback but also educate our community on the growing craft beer revolution. We incorporated Soul Mega in 2018, and in 2019 began selling commercial beer in-market. Since inception, Soul Mega has evolved beyond just a distributor and marketer of small batch beer, to a brand specializing in creating craft-beer experiences for all persons, with a focus on communities of color often excluded from mainstream craft-beer culture.
