Simple Things’ Table Saison is a light and fruity Saison brewed with the classic Saaz and Celeia hops in the kettle and dry hopped with new Czech variety Most. Pours pale straw in colour beneath tight, white foam; blackcurrant and strawberry, orange and banana are all in the aroma mix along with a pinch of clovey-pepper spice to remind us we’re in the wonderful world of Saison here.

Full bodied and flavourful for an ABV of just 4%, with layered complexity and a beautifully soft mouthfeel giving the impression of a bigger beer. Tinned peaches, pineapple and grass come in waves, with a hint of spice and dry finish to keep everything crisply refreshing.

Simple Things say “This is a fresh take on a recipe that went down well in our bottling days, with new-ish Czech hop Most taking the dry hop duties and contributing blackberry notes to the general fruit-spice Saison flavour melange. We’ve also switched yeast, letting the Bastogne strain lead us down a tangier, more acidic path this time. All of which makes for a beer that packs way more of a punch than your average 4%-er. Driving flavour and complexity is super important for lower ABV beers and this beer has plenty of both. There’s a riot goin’ on.”
