Description

This Harry Masters was pressed late in the season – November – and so presents a curious tasting experience, contrasting with usual October pressed HMJ. In cider, late is often better than early, and that rings true here. A very smooth cider, with the silky texture of buttered toast rather than the sometimes challenging tannins this variety can present. A very nice cider. 500ml. 6.6%.

Bittersweet single variety cider. A variety bred and propagated by Edward Ball in the 1930s, Ball's is a soft, gentle bittersweet. This is Ball's at its underrated best: beautifully smooth, classcially fruity with long red apple notes, and just endlessly drinkable. We are lovers of low acid, fruity, dry cider, and this is a perfect example of where that loves come from. An apple that deserves more plaudits!
