Tommie Sjef Kriek è l’intepretazione dell’omonimo stile diffuso in Pajottenland.
Questa Kriek è stata realizzata aggiungendo 375 gr/lt di ciliegie ad un blend di birre spontanee di 1 e 2 anni.
Le ciliegie si sprigionano nell’aroma, insieme a un pizzico di cannella e mandorla.
È un aroma abbastanza pulito, con solo un pizzico di funk.
Al gusto note di frutti di bosco scuri, ciliegie fresche, alcune spezie e un tocco di note di vino rosso d0nate dalle botti. L’acidità donata dalle ciliegie è abbastanza pronunciata, la birra inoltre ha anche preso dei tannini decisi dal frutto, i quali donano anche un bel finale secco.
Questa Kriek nonostante sia ancora una birra giovane è già buona da bere, ma questa birra è perfetta anche in cantina per un paio d’anni per bilanciare il fruttato e la birra base. Con un anno o più di invecchiamento, anche i tannini e l’acidità saranno più integrati. Conserva le nostre birre in posizione verticale o sdraiata in un luogo fresco e buio. Le nostre birre si gustano al meglio tra i 12 e i 14 gradi Celsius.

The cherries pop out in the aroma, together with a hint of cinnamon and almond. It’s a fairly clean aroma, with just a hint of funk. In the taste I find a lot of dark berry notes, fresh cherries, some spices and a touch of red wine notes from the foeder. The sourness is quite pronounced in this one, which mainly comes from the cherries. The beer also took up some firm tannins from the fruit. This gives the beer a nice dry finish.
Tommie Sjef Kriek is already good to drink during the fall, but this beer is also perfect to cellar for a couple of years to balance out the fruitiness and base beer. With a year or more of ageing, the tannins and sourness will be more integrated as well.
Store our beers upright or lying down in a cool, dark place. Our beers are best enjoyed between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius.
Ingredients: water, malted barley, wheat, organic sour cherries, hops, wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria. All of our beers are made with certified organic ingredients. Vegan friendly. 750ml. 6.6%.

Kriek is gemaakt met biologische zure kersen. Een blend van verschillende Wild Ales variërend van 1 tot 2 jaar in combinatie met de kersen. De kersen werden ruim een half jaar geweekt en gefermenteerd in het bier in een rode wijn foeder. 375 gram kersen per liter bier werden gebruikt.
