An orchard blend made from Blakeney Red, Holmer, Hellens Green, White Longdon, Taynton Squash, Oldfield, Pine, Pint, Moorcroft, New Meadow, Claret, Barnett & Yellow Huffcap pears. It shows the diversity of the very special 110 year old
at Perry House Farm in Somerset. The result is refined, complex & simply delicious. This is a still perry with just the tiniest prickle on the tongue. Aromas of gooseberry, elderflower, pear drops, & poached pear. A slight sweetness from the sorbitol which balances very well with savoury, umami rich foods.
Meet Sam and Beccy Leach. They came into cider making from the restaurant world, so from an interest in food and drink, as well as farming. They started to make cider as a hobby and it grew from there. They are natural cider and perry farmers/makers in Chew Magna, North Somerset. They practice regenerative farming in traditional orchards. Their home farm and orchards are certified organic. Fruit is picked from the ground in the old way, left to mature and fully ripen before pressing, and then fermented gently and slowly with wild yeasts, no sulphites and plenty of time. Less
