Brouwerij LindemansAt Lindemans Brewery, we apply the traditional spontaneous fermentation method to brew our authentic lambic. And this is the lambic we use in our brewery to produce our specialty beers. A few of these include the authentic Old Gueuze Cuvée René and Old Kriek Cuvée René that have a sparkling and slightly flavour with a dry finish thanks to the bottle fermentation method. or the filtered Gueuze Lindemans with its softer and slightly sweeter flavour. and the Faro of course, a pearly brown beer with a delicious sweet flavour created by the addition of candy Sugar. we also brew fruit beers: Kriek, Framboise, Pecheresse, Cassis and Apple for which we use juices from selected fruits

Denne øl er en gammel kriek, en ølstil, der blev skabt ved spontan gæring af lambic med tilsætning af kirsebær (surkirsebær).
Lindemans Cuvee Rene Oude Kriek er en speciel blanding, der er modnet på egetræsfade.
Denne øl har en dyb rød farve med et lyserødt hoved. Duften er frugtig og syrlig med noter af kirsebær, mandler, træ og læder. Smagen er kompleks og forfriskende, med en fin balance mellem sødmen fra kirsebærene og syrligheden fra lambic.
Kirsebærstenenes tannin giver øllet en let bitter note. Afslutningen er lang og frugtig, med en blød syre, der bliver ved.

What makes this traditional kriek special is that it is brewed with whole cherries. Since real Schaerbeek cherries are scarce, Lindemans Brewery has found their perfect equivalence elsewhere in Europe.
It is deep red in colour and its foam head is slightly pink. Very refreshing, this beverage is a perfect thirst-quencher which, thanks to its fizzy and tangy flavour, is ideal as an aperitif.”
The cherries ferment in lambic that is at least six months old in large 10,000-litre wood barrels called foudres to make the Oude Kriek Cuvée René. This traditional kriek is bottled in corked 75 cl bottles after six months. The beer will then go through a spontaneous second fermentation phase, which will produce the carbon dioxide (CO2) that gives this true beer its carbonation and unmistakable foam head after a few months.
