For the first time, we’ve used cacao from Daarnhouwer, the source where our “choco partner in crime,” Krak Chocolade, gets its raw cacao beans. In the Daarnhouwer lab, we sampled and selected various types of dried cacao. This beer also includes 100 kilos of almonds, roasted to a darker shade for optimal flavor extraction.

Voor het eerst hebben ze cacao gebruikt van Daarnhouwer, de bron waar hun “chocopartner in crime”, Krak Chocolade, zijn rauwe cacaobonen vandaan haalt. In het lab van Daarnhouwer hebben ze verschillende soorten gedroogde cacao geproefd en geselecteerd. Dit bier bevat ook 100 kilo amandelen, die donkerder zijn geroosterd voor een optimale smaakextractie, waardoor de machines van de brander tot het uiterste zijn gegaan. Het resultaat is een bier dat all-in gaat voor de ultieme smaakervaring.
