"This beer was brewed with local legends, Favourite Beers. Veterans of the modern UK beer scene and have been great advocates of DEYA since we started. It's their 12th birthday and they asked if we would like to brew a beer for them, "yes of course", we said. They asked if we wouldn't mind brewing something a little different, a Brown Ale. Not having much experience of this we thought it would be a great chance to try something new (a dry hopped American Brown, naturally).
Having a much maltier base means a little bit more of a challenge to get the hop flavour to manifest as you want it and to keep everything in balance. We decided to use all UK hops in the kettle and whirlpool, leaning on Phoenix for its deep orange and sweet spice character. The dry hop character of many American Brown Ales is often a combination of citrus and pine. We decided to give it a little twist. We used Idaho 7, Simcoe and Sabro. Aiming more for bright tropical fruit and a little sweet resin from the Simcoe, with a bass note of light tropical fruit and coconut from the Sabro."

Not DEYA's usual style for sure, but one to check out. English hop Phoenix gives a rich orange ...and cooking spice character, with Idaho 7, Simcoe and Sabro bringing a lighter tropical and resinous slant.
