Batten down the hatches and prepare yourself for a collaboration three years in the making. Toppling Goliath and Cellarmaker are releasing their own renditions of Midnight Sea, a blended bourbon-aged imperial stout. In February of 2020, the dark malt masters of Toppling Goliath visited our San Francisco brewery and devised a deeply rich stout recipe. This inky, oily magic was first aged in a variety of bourbon barrels including Weller, Early Times, Dickel, and Woodford Double Oaked. We then further aged Midnight Sea in a second set of Weller barrels. When it was time to bring the components together we worked closely with the crew from Toppling Goliath to create a profile that could stand on its own but also be half of a two-part blend with Toppling Goliath’s own version of Midnight Sea. The confluence of these stouts is reflected in the artwork of the bottles where two parts of the same scene join into a more complete picture.

The artwork was designed just like the beers, each stands on its own, but when you put the bottles from both breweries together it becomes one complete piece.

📬 All bottles are packed by employees who are wearing nitrile gloves and masks and are following strict cleanliness and sanitation guidelines.

📬 Sorry there are no substitutions. These bottles are sold as a set. There is a $25 shipping charge per set. Your home delivery address must be in California; beer will only be delivered with proof of legal age on a valid ID; someone has to be at home to receive the package, it will not be left at your door.

📬 The website will give you confirmation when your order goes through and complete. You will receive a tracking number from us when it becomes available. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking to be generated.

📬 As we are using a next day service, delivery to most of California should occur about 24 -48 hours after shipping. Obviously current circumstances may affect this. We do not take responsibility for disruptions to delivery service due to any circumstance.
