The brewery was heavily damaged in an earthquake in 2011, but they rebuilt, adding a cafe, bar, music venue and restaurant to the brewery site – making the Cassels Brewery a destination for beer lovers. Cassels and Sons Brut IPA is a special release, imagine a mashup of crisp champagne with a hoppy pale ale. Dry hopping with Wai-iti and Nectaron? hops gives Cassels and Sons Brut IPA a flavour punch whilst the addition of an enzyme to maximise the ferment results in an ultra dry and distinctively refined brew.
