Kees Bubberman, eigenaar en brouwmeester van Brouwerij Kees, heeft in de afgelopen jaren naam gemaakt in het internationale speciaal bier-landschap. Een klein stukje historie: als verdienstelijk thuisbrouwer kreeg Kees van lokale brouwerij Emelisse uit Kamperland de kans om aan de slag te gaan als professioneel brouwer. Hier groeide Kees uit tot brouwmeester van internationale faam. Naast de klassieke stijlen brouwde Kees met veel lef en passie tientallen op Brits en Amerikaans leest geschoeide bieren, waaronder zware Porters, coffee stouts en IPA’s.

Die droom kwam uit: in zijn thuisstad Middelburg staat nu Brouwerij Kees! Meteen had Kees een vliegende start: in het eerste jaar van zijn bestaan werd Brouwerij Kees verkozen tot één van de beste nieuwkomers op Ratebeer.com. Deze internationale aandacht bracht de bieren van Kees sindsdien van Nederland tot ver buiten de landsgrenzen.
