3 Ravens Brewery Tepache De Piña

The Spiel Late Summer is Melbourne’s hottest and driest season, so this release is all about quenching your thirst.

Inspired by the naturally fermented sweet-and-sour Mexican drink “Tepache De Piña” (AKA Pineapple Beer) this beer uses a unique lactic acid yeast as well as a Danish farmhouse strain to ferment a light base of ale malt and pineapple juice and to provide acidity, fruity esters and a hint of funk. A touch of caramel malt, cinnamon, lime and Vic Secret hops provide subtle complimentary flavours while the predominant character is sweet pineapple and a refreshing tart finish.
