"We love a traditional cask beer and a traditional pub, and this beer is our homage to that. Made to have rich toffee malt notes and paired with the beautiful British hop Bramling Cross to bring notes of hedgerow berry and spice to the nose. This beer is fermented slightly warmer to give some of those more traditional ale aromas to the beer. Ours is slightly Darker than some offering a lovely biscuit base line.

A Northern Take on the early Porter We've all heard of the famed London Porters, those Pre-Victorian numbers that commanded the brewing landscape before the ascendency and dominance of the Pale Ale in the early 1900s Well it's a style that we still love and we wanted to create our own version - with our own Northern nod. Ours harks back to the early-life Porter, where Brown Malt plays protagonist, producing a subtly lower colour aspect than the near black Porters that we find most often today. Still rich and dark with a touch of mahogany glinting through from a modest use of Black Malts - a deep and creamy beer remains with chocolate notes, a little berry and the OG Boddingtons yeast adds that touch more hedgerow fruit. Alongside this we take the Northern Brewers hop - originally grown up our neck of the woods - offering up a little grassy-pine and a good affirming bitterness.
