Impenetrablemente oscuro con un destello marrón dorado cuando se lo sostiene a la luz, y con un aroma cálido y sabor a malta, al tiempo que invoca sensaciones de sabor a café al bajar. Se elabora a partir de cinco tipos de malta (dos de las cuales son oscuras torrificadas), y solo se salta ligeramente. Se produce utilizando el proceso tradicional de doble fermentación.
