The term ‘Red Ale’ first appeared in the United States of America to describe one of the favored craft beer styles according to its color. American amber ale brewers wanted to market beers that were similar to English pale ales,
did not want to intimidate their consumers with the bitterness associated with English brews.
Our Red Ale is a version somewhere between the American Red Ale and a classic English Amber Ale. This beer has 5.5% ABV, is densely malty, and reddish in color. It is smooth, and full-bodied, with an intensely fruity, and fragrant aroma. The use of Cascade and Amarillo hops add hints of peach, lychee, floral, and passion fruit on the nose while the beer has a slightly bitter finish. Less
