If it seems a bit weird that 3 Ravens are releasing the 2022 vintage of their annual Methode Ravens release at the start of 2023, let us explain. 3 Ravens lovingly bottle condition these releases, and as is always the case with this method, once the beer is in the bottle, it is quite literally in the hands of the gods... and the gods pay no heed to release schedules! However, the gods have been kind, and gifted us with a beautiful, sparkling, Golden Wild Ale. Methode Ravens 2022.

Brewed as an homage to traditional Belgian Lambic Beers, and drawing inspiration from their methods, 3 Ravens Head Brewer, Brendan O’Sullivan, celebrates and encourages the idiosyncrasies of Wild Ale brewing and blending. Each vintage is different to the last and the process always presents very pleasant surprises. It is hoped that each release celebrates the evolution and expression of the 3 Ravens house mixed culture. 

This year, Brendan selected components from 4 unique barrels, bottle at an average age of 19 months. With delicate aromas of Candied Lemon, apricot, pear, and flavours of cherry, apple and rockmelon, resolving to a dry and spritzy finish with a structured minerality anda herbal bitterness. This versatile release really lends itself to fun with food pairing, sunlit afternoons with friends, or the most serious and considered bottle shares. While it is ready to drink right now, this release will also reward careful and considered cellaring.
